Myc- MVP
Myc-MVP stands for Mycenaean Vitreous Production: A novel interdisciplinary approach towards resolving critical taxonomy issues. The project is funded by the Hellenic Institute for Research and Innovation within the framework of the 3rd Call for Postdoctoral Researches and its duration is set at 18 months. The official launch of the program was realized on 26 September 2022.
Myc-MVP builds on the research already conducted on vitreous materials by the two PD researchers (Dr A. Oikonomou and Dr M. Kaparou), one experienced conservator (O. Kordali, MSc) and the vast experience on the application of X-ray technology techniques in studying archaeological materials in a non-invasive manner by two senior researchers (Dr A. Karydas and Prof. D. F. Anagnostopoulos).
The research project was supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) under the “3rd Call for H.F.R.I. Research Projects to support Post-Doctoral Researchers” (Project Number: 7195).
